Alan Chan

Alan a.k.a. C Fu, dedicated to the sport of bowling for the last few decades. He started his bowling career in the 80s. 

Alan had been a PBA member since 1994 and obtained the silver level of USA Coach in 1999. He was a coach of the China National Bowling Team from 1998 to 2001. During his tenure, the China team made the first recorded 300 game at the Asian Games in 1998. His team won one Gold, four Silvers and one Bronze at the 16th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship in Qatar.

Alan had been a member of Brunswick Rhino Team since 1985 and he won the 18th Hong Kong International Open Master Championship in 1992. Alan has shot sixteen 300 games and more than ten 800 series with his highest being 822. Alan also been the member of Team Canada Senior and went to participate in the Tournament of Americas 2012.

Alan joined Brunswick in 1998 as a member of the Brunswick Pro Staff in China. He was also the Brunswick General Sales Manager (GSM) responsible for consumer products in Asia Pacific until 2013.

After Alan returned to Canada in early 2000s, he opened the 900 Bowling Pro Shop and serve the bowling communities across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In 2011, he and Mary Leung founded the Zone Bowling Club to promote the sport of bowling and inspired the younger generation to begin their bowling career. 

In 2019, on the recognition of bowling achievement from the City of Markham, Alan was invited to be the Official Bowling Ambassador representing the City of Markham to promote the sport of bowling in the community.

On May 12, 2023, Alan passed away at age 72. He will always be remembered on his dedication and spirit in bowling. His impact on bowling to the community over the last decades runs deep and will continue for years to come. Click Here to read the news announcement.
