Bowling Performance Demonstration

New President of Sing Fai Sports Club
Congratulations to our committee member, Mr. Peter Lau has been appointed to be the new President of Sing Fai Sports Club. Mr. Lau was on the board of committee for the All Community Games (ACG) for years and his excellent contributions are well recognized.
Sing Fai Sports Club (SFSC) was founded in 1987 and is a non-profit organization, since then it actively and continuously promoting sport activities and training youths among different communities. SFSC is to serve our community, promote active and healthy living style, and encourage members to become a responsible citizen. SFSC achieves these by organizing a number of activities and events, such as: 38th Scouts Group and All Community Games.

Dear members,
After receiving numerous requests from members asking permission to be spectators at the Pro Am event, Zone committee have come up with the solution as follow.
2016 Zone members that purchase the Zone 5th anniversary Pro Am polo are welcome to the event as spectators provide that no interruption during the clinic 11:30am - 1pm and tournament 2pm - 5:30pm hours.They have to wear the polo to the event to be noted as member spectators.
Polo price is $50 each. Unisex sizes XS - XL.
Limited quantity. Around 25 pcs in stock for purchase only.
Shirts are arriving this week and the Pro Am participants have priority to purchase a 2nd shirt.
Dates and location to pick up the shirts will be announced shortly.

The Asian Community Games Tenpin Bowling Tournament was held June 6 at Woodbridge Bowl. We have overwhelming supports from over 100 participants. 96 bowlers in the official tournament of teams, doubles and singles events and a group of leisure bowlers enjoying their games under a competitive atmosphere.
We like to thanks the Sing Fai Sports Club for inviting us to be the partner of this meaningful event.
Thanks to Brunswick Bowling Products of sponsoring the Special Achievement Awards for our All Events and High Game male and female bowlers.
Special thanks to Woodbridge Bowl of providing us a pleasant venue for the tournament. Their remarkable services and knowledge to share and work with us on the oil pattern we need for this tournament's lane condition is one of the key factor for the bowlers to enjoy and perform their games.

Unacceptable Bowler's attire per following ( Dress Code )
Tank tops, halter tops, bare midriffs, spaghetti strap tops, short shorts,
jeans that are torn, not clean or in poor condition, no torn tee shirts.
Failure to comply will result in disqualification and rejecting by the
tournament committee to bowl in the tournament.

There are 24 - 4 persons teams registered. It's going to be an exciting event on the 3 categories; teams, doubles and singles.
Since all the participants are experienced bowlers, we shall cancel the bowling camps on May 23 & 30.
We'll see all of you on June 6, Sat at Woodbridge Bowl.

We have made arrangement with Woodbridge Bowl for a special practice/ clinic session on Sept 13, Sat, 1 - 2:30pm
Lanes will be dressed with the Mexico City 45' and Beijing 35' oil patterns on each pair of lanes.
Cost is $12 per bowler. 2 bowler per lane for the 1.5 hours.
It will be Zone Bowling Club members ONLY.

Another exciting news from our members. We had received confirmation of our zone ladies doubles team - Violet Chan and Linda Chan is the Ladies Doubles Champion of the GTTBA Annual Championship Tournament which took place at Classic Bowl back in May. Florida Tournament Trip of Team Canada
Donald Lee and Edith Lee got the Bronze medals for Senior Mixed Team. There were 2 men and 2 women per team.
Edith Lee won another Bronze medal for Senior Women's Double.
Mary Leung won the Super Senior Women High Game with 260 score using a Brunswick Pink Karma.

This is a important message for all bowlers safety, beginners or experienced. Do not swing your arms back and forth without checking your surrounding, whether you are holding a bowling ball or just wearing a metal guard while doing warm up exercise. Last week, a bowler was hurt while another bowler swung the bowling ball backward without checking. This bowler had a crack jaw, broken teeth and received more than 10 stitches.
More examination had to be done later on the jaw. SO PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND OTHERS.

Another impressive result of our members. 14 ladies were participating in the Queen's Tournament held in Barrie on November 6, 2011. There were 4 divisions for different average levels. Eugenia Jon won the Div. A (180 & over) 1st place with a 4-games score of 867. Polly Chow won the Div. B (166 to 179) 1st place with a 4-game score of 749. A big applause for the 2 winners.
